Construction Ergonomics Awareness
Date: Tuesday January 7, 2025
Time: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Description:
This course covers ergonomic issues CCLs may encounter in construction. Upon completion, CCLs will become more aware, recognize ergonomic hazards, and learn the residual effects of not working with proper ergonomics on the job. Participants will be allowed to undergo knowledge-based, intensive awareness training in this self-paced classroom environment. Students will learn how to manage and understand Work-Related Musculoskeletal Diseases. The student will also undergo typed assignments, a video with a question and answer activity, and an examination to successfully complete the course. This newly acquired understanding aids in the CCLs' ability to work more effectively and efficiently on the job. LDC of Philadelphia Training Fund has required this training for its membership and apprenticeship programs. However, other building trades and organizations may decide to address different areas in construction ergonomics. This basic introductory course is essential for CCLs to know in order to maintain healthy work practices on the job. This will lay the groundwork for longer sustained, healthy careers in the construction industry.
